Terms and Conditions

PaymentSathi is a notification-based utility application that reads UPI payment notifications from your device and displays transaction alerts and history for user convenience.

PaymentSathi also offers an optional Ledger (Udhaar Khata) feature that lets registered users maintain records of amounts given to or received from customers. Ledger entries are manually entered by you and stored in your account on our cloud infrastructure.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this App
• You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws in India

• Certain features may require account registration
• The Ledger (Udhaar Khata) feature requires a registered (non-anonymous) account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

Truecaller Login and Verification: The App offers optional login and verification via Truecaller (including verification for users who do not have the Truecaller app installed). By choosing to sign in or verify your mobile number with Truecaller, you authorize PaymentSathi to receive your name and mobile number as shared by Truecaller for the purpose of account creation and verification. Your use of Truecaller services is additionally governed by Truecaller's Terms of Service and the Truecaller SDK Privacy Notice.

The App may request the following permissions:

• Notification Access → to read and process UPI payment notifications
• Internet Access → for app functionality, Ledger sync, ad serving, and support services
• Truecaller SDK & Phone Verification Permissions → to enable optional login and automated mobile number verification (including for non-Truecaller users via missed call). This includes permissions to read phone state (READ_PHONE_STATE), read call log (READ_CALL_LOG), and automatically answer calls (ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS), used solely for verifying your phone number.

By granting permissions:

• You authorize the App to access relevant notifications
• You understand that disabling permissions may affect functionality
• You are responsible for managing permissions via your device settings

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

• Payment notification data is processed locally on your device
• We do not access your bank account or UPI account

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of notifications

We are NOT responsible for:

• Missed, delayed, or incorrect payment notifications
• Incorrect, incomplete, or outdated Ledger entries or balances
• Financial losses or damages
• Any reliance placed on app-generated information, including Ledger reminders sent via WhatsApp or phone

Users must verify transactions directly through their bank or official UPI applications.

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• The App interacts with notifications from third-party apps (e.g., UPI apps)
• We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any bank, payment provider, or government authority
• Google AdMob: The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge that ads may appear and that AdMob operates under its own terms and privacy policy. You may opt out of personalized ads via your device settings.
• Truecaller: Optional login and number verification via Truecaller is subject to Truecaller's Terms of Service and the Truecaller SDK Privacy Notice.
• Supabase: Ledger and related account data are hosted using Supabase. Supabase operates under its own terms and privacy policy.

Future versions of the App may also include:

• Subscription plans or paid features

All such future features will be strictly optional.

The App currently displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads help us keep the App free for all users.

• Ads are served automatically by Google AdMob based on your device's Advertising ID and usage context
• We do not control the specific ads displayed, as these are managed by Google's ad systems
• You may opt out of personalized advertising via Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization on your Android device

PaymentSathi is not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements displayed within the App.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
• Enter false customer or Ledger data, or use Ledger for unlawful debt collection or harassment
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the App
• Interfere with app performance, security, or services

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms
• Modify or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.

We will notify users of material changes through the App or other appropriate means.

Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the App.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
